Join us for a special preview screening of the ACADEMY AWARD®-nominated film The Voice of Hind Rajab followed by an in conversation with Dr Nada Abu Alrub, Dr Saya Aziz and Dr Ala Al Alawneh, moderated by Nadine Chemali.

Dr Nada Abu Alrub is an Australian physician and humanitarian who recently served on a frontline medical mission inside Gaza, including at Al-Shifa Hospital, treating critically injured adults and children under extreme conditions. She is also PCRF Australia’s 2026 Evacuations Lead, supporting efforts to help coordinate medical evacuations for children in urgent need.

Nadine Chemali is a writer, presenter and social worker. Nadine came to Australia as a child, fleeing war torn Beirut. She has worked extensively in the settlement and justice sectors, across media, hosting SBS Podcasts and presenting at literary and arts festivals around the country. In her spare time, she enjoys making people uncomfortable by speaking for those without a voice. Nadine is dedicated to community, facilitating discussions on displacement, representation and community care, discourse she feels was missing from her own refugee upbringing in Australia.

Dr Saya Aziz is a wife and mother of two small children. She's an Australian consultant anaesthetist and humanitarian who recently served on a frontline medical mission inside Gaza, including at Al-Shifa Hospital, providing urgent anaesthetic and surgical support for critically injured adults and children under extreme conditions. She is a member of the Palestinian Australian New Zealand Medical Association (PANZMA), and shares firsthand testimony of the realities facing patients and healthcare teams in besieged hospitals.

Dr Ala Al Alawneh is a Brisbane-based medical doctor, health case manager, and advocate for asylum seekers. His work spans clinical care and advocacy, with a focus on access to healthcare, human rights, and dignified care for displaced communities.
