Dean’s career spans over 35 years.  He served in the Australian army as a soldier and commissioned officer, as well as an operations director in the Australian Federal Police Protective Service.  In the private sector, he has worked for world-leading organisations in various corporate security capacities, including having global remits for executive protection, crisis management and other related areas.  He has worked as a consultant and was engaged throughout the world to support organisations respond to and manage complex situations.

Based on the incredible true story, SOUND OF FREEDOM shines a light on even the darkest of places. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.
