Starring Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek, Malick’s neo-noir directorial debut BADLANDS announced the arrival of a fresh new voice in American cinema. Nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Picture, DELIVERANCE remains one of the most culturally significant films of Hollywood’s 70s renaissance.

DELIVERANCE

Intent on seeing the Cahulawassee River before it's turned into one huge lake, outdoor fanatic Lewis Medlock (Burt Reynolds) takes his friends on a river-rafting trip they'll never forget into the dangerous American back-country.

BADLANDS

An impressionable teenage girl (Spacek) from a dead-end town and her older greaser boyfriend (Sheen) embark on a killing spree in the South Dakota badlands.
